Alabama A&M University Academic Scholarships

Alabama A&M University currently offers 7 levels of academic scholarships to in-state and out-of-state students.

The AAMU Presidential Scholarship

Renewable for up to 8 semesters. Covers the cost of tuition, room, board, and fees. Also includes a $1,000 book allowance per semester.

CRITERIA

  • Applicant must have a High School GPA of 3.75 or above.
  • Applicant must have an ACT Score of 28 or above/SAT score of 1310 or above.

RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Student  must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50.
  • Student must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours per academic year.  Note that the academic year consist of the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

The AAMU Merit Scholarship

Covers the cost of tuition. Renewable for up to 8 semesters.

CRITERIA

  • Applicant must have a High School GPA of 3.25 or above.
  • Applicant must have an ACT Score of 23 or above/SAT score of 1130 or above.

RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Student  must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.10.
  • Student must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours per academic year.  Note that the academic year consist of the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

The AAMU Transfer Merit Scholarship

Covers the cost of tuition. Renewable for up to 4 semesters.CRITERIA

Applicant must have a transfer GPA of 3.25 or above.

Applicant must have met all Transfer Admissions criteria.

The student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.10.
