Barbados Community College
The Barbados Community College is a tertiary institution on Eyrie Howells’ Road, Saint Michael, Barbados.
Founded in 1968, the Barbados Community College came to be due to an Act of Parliament aimed at making post-secondary education more accessible to the Barbadian public. In 1990, the Act was amended by Parliament to allow the following designations to be conferred upon students: Bachelor’s degrees, Associate degrees, Diplomas and Certificates. Prior to this Act, degrees were available only at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus.
