North Dakota State University Application Deadline

First-Year Applicant Requirements

Requirements for Applying to NDSU

Applications are evaluated on an individual basis. The university uses selective criteria in order to ensure students are adequately prepared to be successful in their academic pursuits. NDSU reviews the following criteria.

High School GPA

It is recommended that applicants have a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.75 or higher (4.0 scale). Strong consideration is given to grades earned in the high school core classes listed below.

ACT/SAT Test Scores

NDSU’s ACT/SAT requirement has been waived for applicants applying for Fall 2020-Summer 2023. The limited availability of tests and testing site closures during the spring of 2020 and beyond may prevent students from taking these exams. NDSU will rely on the high school grade point average (GPA) to make admission decisions.

  • 4 units of English
