Thanks for your interest in the Radiological Sciences Program at Penn State Schuylkill. The process for applying to our program is outlined below. Students must have a completed application on file by November 30 for priority consideration.
Students who apply after November 30 may not receive an admission decision by the end of January. We will not follow the early action deadline for this program. If a student selects early action on the application, decisions will not start until the end of January.
New Penn State students
New students must apply to Penn State: Undergraduate Application
- Choice of major: Radiological Sciences
- First choice and ending campus: Schuylkill

Transfer students
Transfer students must have a 2.5 GPA to be considered for admission to the program. Those taking classes at the time of an offer must maintain a 2.5 GPA to keep the offer.
General education courses can transfer and satisfy program requirements. To help you determine how transfer credits may work into the degree you can use our online transfer credit tool. Credit will not be given for any previous radiography courses or clinical education completed at another educational institution (except Penn State New Kensington). All RADSC courses and clinical education courses must be completed as prescribed in the six-semester RADSC curriculum.
Fall transcripts should be submitted in early January.
Current and returning Penn State students
Current and returning Penn State students who would like to be considered for entrance to the Radiological Sciences program should email Hilary Yotko, program coordinator, at hhb102@psu.edu, to express interest no later than November 30. Please include your nine-digit Penn State ID number, located under the photo on your Penn State ID+ card.

Offer of admission
Admission to the Radiologic Science Program will follow a holistic review process. High school and transfer students must meet Penn State’s general requirements for associate degrees. Applicants will be evaluated based on academic performance, curriculum and context of schedule, standardized test scores, and extracurricular activities. Admission criteria will be determined by the applicant pool.
Admission decisions will be released at the end of January.
Students who receive an offer of admission to the program will have until May 1 to accept their offer of admission. After that date, we may expire offers. The program has a limited number of spaces based on clinical site capacity.
Pre-health (UCPAH_PMAJ) will be an option for those not admitted directly into the major and who still would like to come to Penn State Schuylkill.
