What GPA do I need to get into UAB?
Freshman Admission
Minimum overall GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 US grading scale based on UAB’s evaluation of the secondary school transcript. English proficiency exam* if English is not the applicant’s native language; or ACT/SAT score if English is the applicant’s native language.
How long is the application process for UAB?
If you provided unofficial transcripts in your application, they will be available for the Graduate School to review. Your application will be processed within 1-3 business days of submission at which time the admissions staff will review your transcripts and update the requirements accordingly.
Does UAB give scholarships?
Students applying for Summer or Fall 2022 and beyond must submit a scholarship application to be considered for merit-based scholarships. The scholarship application will be available on September 1 in the Blazer Scholarship Management and Resource Tool (BSMART).
Does UAB require ACT writing?
SAT/ACT Writing Section Requirements
University of Alabama at Birmingham considers the SAT Essay/ACT Writing section optional and may not include it as part of their admissions consideration. You don’t need to worry too much about Writing for this school, but other schools you’re applying to may require it.
