Arrupe Jesuit University(AJU) Current Prospectus

Arrupe Jesuit University also referred to by its acronym AJU is a fully accredited private, Catholic. international and multicultural higher education institution run by the Zimbabwe-Mozambique Province of the Society of Jesus in Harare, Zimbabwe. It was founded by the Jesuits in 1994.

The Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education (ZIMCHE), under the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science, Technology and Development, granted provisional accreditation on December 7, 2017.

On February 24, 2018, the President of the Jesuit Conference of Africa and Madagascar (JCAM), Fr. A. E Orobator, SJ, inaugurated the new university. On December 3, 2018, ZIMCHE granted full accreditation. When founded in 1994, Arrupe Jesuit University was called Arrupe College Jesuit School of Philosophy and Humanities. It is owned in trust by the Jesuits of Zimbabwe and Mozambique for (JCAM).

AJU Admission Requirements

The Arrupe Jesuit University AJU Admission Requirements. The Undergraduate, Masters & Doctorate Programmes Entry Requirements has been released for the academic session.

For admission into Undergraduates, Postgraduates, Diploma and Masters programs at the Arrupe Jesuit University AJU for any first degree or second degree, an applicant must have the following requirements for successful admission.

These admission requirements are for various programmes offered at the institution, it serves as a guide in the application process. All interested applicants are to read through carefully making sure that they fulfill the requirements before putting in an application.

ARRUPE JESUIT UNIVERSITY AJU ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

Normal Entry

For normal entry a student must have 5 Ordinary Level passes including English Language, or approved equivalent and 2 Advanced Level subject passes or their equivalent in relevant areas.

Mature Entry

Applicants  who are twenty five ( 25) years of age on the first day of the academic year in which admissions is sought and who are not eligible for either  the normal or the special entry regulations are eligible to apply for mature entry provided that, the applicant has at least five (5)  approved  ‘O’ level subjects including English language.

ARRUPE JESUIT UNIVERSITY POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR A POSTGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMME

A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited University in a subject or subjects relevant to the course applied for.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR A MASTERS DEGREE PROGRAMME

An applicant must have passed English Language at Ordinary Level or approved equivalent.

Normally, an applicant must have obtained an appropriate Honours Degree in the Upper Second or higher Division.

An applicant who has obtained an appropriate Honours Degree in the Lower Second Division may be considered provided that he/she has achieved First or Upper Second Class performance in their intended field of study.
