A. MD PROGRAM

Bridgetown International University Tuition And Fees Structure
Our MD Program strictly adheres to the requirements of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), a mandatory licensing examination required to be qualified to get a license to practice medicine in the US. Depending on the level of qualification of the students, the entire program can be completed in four or five years.

1-YEAR PRE-MEDICAL PROGRAM
The pre-Medical or Basic Foundation for Medical Sciences Program is a 1-Year Program which lays the foundation for the next stages of the MD Program. Pre-Medical Program is offered to students who have qualified Senior Secondary School Examinations while holders of a Bachelor of Science Degree are directly admitted to 4-Year MD Program.
During the Pre-Medical Program, students go through the graduate level of medical disciples and are also given the opportunity to participate in outreach programs and go for occasional clinical visits.
2-YEAR PRE-CLINICAL PROGRAM
Pre-Clinical or Basic Sciences Program is a 2-Year Program which facilitates problem-based learning and the development of comprehensive knowledge of various medical domains. This is the phase when students build a theoretical base required for clinical experiences and medical practice and spend most of their time in research labs.
2-YEAR CLINICAL SCIENCES PROGRAM
Clinical Rotations Program is the final phase of the Program for MD in Barbados during which students spend much of their time in hospitals and learn through observation and working under expert guidance. Going on patient rounds, treating patients under the guidance and being a part of operation teams are some of the exciting and most fruitful experiences provided by clinical rotations.
After completion of MD in Barbados and medical graduation from Bridgetown International University, students are free to go for higher medical education, clear the country-specific licensing examination and start practice at a place of their choice.
B. PRE-MEDICAL PROGRAM
1-YEAR PRE-MEDICAL PROGRAM
Pre-Medical Program is the basic foundation for medical sciences which prepares the students for the advanced levels of the medical program.
Bridgetown International University offers a 1-Year MD Program which, in its essence, is a prelude to the MD Program. The syllabus of the Pre-Medical Program covers all subjects that prepare students for medical studies.
Students receive a comprehensive education in the subjects required for medical courses such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Anatomy, and Physiology. Distributed into four trimesters terms, the Pre-Medical program is the basic foundation for medical sciences which prepares the students for the advanced levels of the medical program.

The entire Pre-Medical course at Bridgetown International University has been designed based on the requirements of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) and helps the students facing the US medical licensure examination in the later stages of their career.
